Bridging Visa A – BVA – (Subclass 010)
This temporary visa generally allows you to stay in Australia after your current substantive visa ceases and while your new substantive visa application is being processed. 

Bridging Visa B – BVB – (Subclass 020)
You can leave and return to Australia during a specified travel period while your application for a substantive visa is being processed. 

Bridging Visa C – BVC – (Subclass 030)
This temporary visa generally allows you to stay in Australia after your current substantive visa ceases and while your new substantive visa application is being processed. 

Bridging Visa E – BVE – (Subclass 050 and 051)
This visa lets you stay lawfully in Australia while you make arrangements to leave, finalise your immigration matter, or wait for an immigration decision. 

Crew Travel Authority Visa (Subclass 942)
This Authority is for international airline crew who don’t have an Australian or New Zealand passport, or a valid Australian visa, who travel to and from Australia as they work. 

Former Resident Visa (Subclass 151)
This permanent visa allows former permanent residents and certain people who served in the Australian Defence Force to live in Australia.

Maritime Crew Visa (Subclass 988)
This visa allows foreign crew on a Maritime Crew visa eligible ship to enter Australia by sea when on an international voyage. It is also for the partner or dependent child of a foreign crew member of an eligible ship, when on the same ship. 

Medical Treatment Visa (Subclass 602)
This temporary visa is for people to travel to or remain longer in Australia for medical treatment or to support someone needing medical treatment who holds this visa. It is also for people who are donating an organ. 

Special Category Visa (Subclass 444)
This temporary visa allows you to visit, study, stay, and work in Australia if you are a New Zealand citizen and meet the eligibility criteria. It is usually applied each time you enter Australia. 

Special Purpose Visa
This is a temporary visa that lets you enter and stay in Australia while you hold your prescribed status. You do not apply for this visa. It is granted automatically to people who have a ‘prescribed status’. 

Investor Retirement Visa (Subclass 405)
Investor Retirement visa (subclass 405). This temporary visa is for self-funded retirees who have no dependents and want to live in Australia during their retirement years.

Confirmatory (Residence) Visa (Subclass 808)
This information is for former holders of Norfolk Island entry permits. This visa lets you remain in Australia indefinitely. You can travel overseas and return to Australia as a permanent resident until the travel component of your visa expires.
